Buzzword is a online word processor, but built on Flex. A deal between Buzzword’s creators and Adobe is to be closed soon, signifying an acquisition of Buzzword by Adobe Inc. A new version (preview 6) was released today and here are some features incorporated in this release.

  • Word count
  • Hyperlinks support in documents
  • Special Characters support
  • Metric system for measurement
  • Unique URL for each Buzzword documents you create
  • Share the documents with your friends through email or instant messengers and they can view it instantly
  • Safari 3 support
  • Copy & paste images directly from clipboard works flawlessly

The biggest change is probably a new domain name for Buzzword, at www.buzzword.com. These new changes makes Buzzword a good choice for editing your documents, as it takes advantage of Flex technologies. The new version will certainly please users editing large documents and the word counts certainly helps out.
