baidu-logo.pngBaidu, the leading search engine in People’s Republic of China, has made a deal with Mozilla Online, Ltd to include their search engine into Firefox’s search engine list for all Firefox packages distributed in Chinese language (zh-CN). The traditional chinese language (zh-TW) edition however is not bundled with Baidu search engine by default.

The details of the deal is unknown as its an undisclosed amount. Firefox Chinese edition (zh-CN) comes with Baidu search engine by default in which users will not be seeing any differences coming from this deal. From now on, users can get the latest version of Firefox zh-CN edition (2.0.0.10 above version) and enjoy Baidu search services.

Users can download the latest chinese versions from MozillaOnline. Baidu is becoming the Google of the world in China as more than 70% china users uses Baidu search engine and Google is losing its presence in the search engine market in China. With this latest deal from Baidu and Firefox, Baidu will is building a strong foundation for its future identity in the search engine market.
